The TD Drilling Machines are delivered with a ratchet crank for manual operation. If desired, an optional handheld air motor easily can be easily added.
Pressure containing O-Ring seals, and those which reduce exposure of internal parts to dust and moisture, are used instead of adjustable packing. This type of seal helps make maintenance easier and faster. Optional O-Ring material is available for special applications.
The TD Drilling Machines have a maximum operating pressure of 740 psig (50 bar) at 180°F (38°C).

Using drilling machines in tight spaces can be a challenge for many technicians. Performing any task in underground vaults, bell holes and around other underground piping facilities is difficult at best.
T.D. Williamson, Inc. offers a solution! TDW recently developed new, compact TD Drilling Machines with generous travel lengths relative to total machine length, ranging from 6- to 14-inches of travel, with the same durability and dependability that TDW customers have come to expect. Depending on the version chosen, the TD Drilling Machines range from 18.6-to 35.3-inches in total machine length. These machines enable users to make taps of ½- to 2-inches in very tight spaces.
Also, the machine weights range from 9 to 17 lbs. This lower weight reduces stresses on small diameter piping systems and offers easier and safer handling for field personnel.
Constructed of sulfide stress cracking resistant metallic material, the TD Drilling Machines also have corrosion resistant protective coating. In addition, the machines meet NACE Standard MR0175-93.
The TD Drilling Machines are compatible with TDW's T-101 Drilling Machine. Models are available with either 1-inch male NPT (TD-06, TD-08, TD-10, TD-12, TD-14) or 2-inch female NPT end connections (TD-106, TD-108, TD-110, TD-112, TD-114), these machines can be attached to a 1-inch valve or used with some T-101 accessories.
