TDW Steel Repair Sleeves are full- encirclement steel shells consisting of two half cylinders placed around the pipe to be repaired and welded along the two longitudinal seams. Steel Repair Sleeves may be made from pipe or rolled plate material. This maintenance option is ideal for use to repair weak and leaking pipeline joints. Features: With the TDW Steel Repair Sleeves, repairs can be made without shutting down the pipeline. TDW Steel Repair Sleeves are available in a variety of sizes, from 2- through 48-inches. There are two types of TDW Steel Repair Sleeves – non-pressure containing reinforcing (Type A) and pressure containing reinforcement sleeves (Type B). Type A Steel Repair Sleeves only function as reinforcement for a defective area, especially non-leaking sections. Type B Steel Repair Sleeves can be used to repair leaking defects and strengthen the pipe by reducing the axial load carrying capability.
