BASIC FUNCTION:
Assists the Quality Manager for the efficient functioning of the technical and administrative organization, the coordination between departments and customers and for the inspections.
Accountabilities:
- To establish the QA plan for non-standard or specific orders and to ensure the follow up of sub-contracted QC operations.
- To organize the inspections with customers and Authorized Inspectors in relation with the planning.
- To coordinate the relations between QC – Sales- Engineering- Production – Planning – Suppliers – Sub contractors, when necessary.
- To examine and verifying all documents and certificates required by customer, before inspection. Implement corrective actions if necessary.
- To represent QC during Production/Planning meetings.
RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS
Reports to the Quality Manager. Direct relationship with QC personnel who will help him to carry out the various tasks requested by Customer’s specifications. Frequent contacts with inspectors.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Engineering degree in ME AND/OR Welding.
- Experience in two or three domains such as: NDT (UT – XR) – DT
- Able to work on computer (PC) Word/windows.
- Knowledge in metallurgy is a real asset.
- Good knowledge in machine design, quality control and quality assurance;
- Fluent in English, French. Other European language is an asset.
