TDW Solidifies Global Service Capabilities

As the world’s demand for energy steadily increases, T.D. Williamson, Inc. is responding by opening three new international service center locations with more scheduled for late 2007 or early 2008.  In order to provide strong regional support for the maintenance and rehabilitation needs of active and expanding piping systems and refining facilities, the new service centers will offer TDW products, services and technical expertise from locations in Asia and Europe.

staff of Rayong service center.

Within days of opening a new Jamnagar, India facility, TDW opened a service center
in the industrial zone of Rayong, Thailand, located 180 kilometers south of Bangkok. Buddhist Monks were invited to bless the Rayong service center with luck and success.  Following the private service, over 100 guests watched the ribbon-cutting ceremony that officially declared the Rayong service center open for business and then enjoyed lunch inside the facility.  Rayong is located on the Indian Ocean coast of Thailand and is home to a numerous refineries and hundreds of kilometers of pressurized pipelines.

Both new Asian service centers in Thailand and India will offer regional operators of piping systems the full complement of TDW services.  Those services include HT&P with bypass, inline inspections, pipeline rehabilitation and pipeline cleaning.

A few time zones to the west of Thailand and India, a new European service center opened in Warsaw, Poland on May 23, 2007.  Engineers and senior managers from Warsaw’s industrial zone gathered to celebrate the formal opening of the service center and were treated to a Chopin recital and an elegant dinner at the Palace.

The new TDW Warsaw facility is poised to make a difference in a region where aging pipelines need to be made compliant with contemporary standards.  There is also new construction taking place in some of the most challenging and harsh environmental conditions on earth.  New ways to serve Eastern European piping system owners are received almost daily, by TDW.  The Warsaw service center is strategically placed to be close and convenient, offering the broad range of TDW products and services to regional line operators.

With the latest opening of three new service centers in May of 2007, TDW now has 45
locations worldwide with several more nearing completion dates.  All facilities are located within regions that will allow TDW products, services and technical expertise to quickly reach line operations and refining facilities with exactly the right solution for any maintenance or short notice repair requirement.
